My name is Greg Marsee and I am the owner and luthier. I started this business as a simple study on how to repair my students instruments for Woodford County Schools. I studied music with an emphasis in string orchestra at Eastern Kentucky university. After graduation in 2011 I was hired by Woodford County schools and started the string orchestra program. During the pandemic I began studying instrument repair through The University of New Hampshire's Violin Craftsmanship under the tutiledge of Instrument maker Paul Weissmeyer and bow re-hairing under bow maker Lynn Hanning. Following my studies I was awarded a grant through the Kentucky Arts Council to study under master violin maker Tommy Case in Great Crossings, KY. I have been making violins and violas since 2021 and repairing instruments since 2020. I began studying rosin making through my own experimentation and found that many of the practices used in manufacturing instrument rosin are also used in the bourbon distillation
